Goose Fair 03:10
Goose Fair. Going to the Goose Fair. At the Goose Fair. G-G-G-Going to the Goose Fair. Bumping on the bumper cars. Ride the carousel. Rockin’ on the rollercoaster. Ghost train too. Swing the hammer, ring the bell. Goose Fair. Going to the Goose Fair. At the Goose Fair. G-G-G-Going to the Goose Fair. Hot dogs and candy floss. Toffee apples on a stick. Chips, peas and vinegar. Burger on the side. Now I think I’m feeling sick. Goose Fair. Going to the Goose Fair. At the Goose Fair. G-G-G-Going to the Goose Fair. You can hear the music pumping, All night long. And we’re staying right here on the rides and the slides, ‘Till our money’s all gone.

Windmill. Windmill. High up on the hill. The grain comes down. The sails go round. Turn it into flour. Even in a shower. Feel the wind power. The miller goes in. Sacks to the brim. Everybody’s smiling, cause… Everybody loves the windmill. Windmill. Windmill. High up on the hill. Wait for the wind to make things spin. Sails and cogs and wheels. How fine the flour feels. It’s time to make some meals. Some cakes and pies. Bread to slice. Everybody’s smiling, cause.. Everybody loves the windmill. Windmill. Windmill. 200 years and counting. Let’s thank George Green for his machine and give some recognition, To a genius mathematician with vision and ambition. We see it for miles. It makes us smile. We hope it’s there forever, cause Everybody loves the windmill. Everybody loves the windmill.

Down, down. Take me down. Down to Market Square. Slap bang in the middle of the town. Please take me there Morning, noon and evening time, I just don’t care. Take me down, down, down to Market Square. In Market Square there are two big lions, That stare such a stare it’s hard to mention, But, Right Lion’s feeling sad and lonely, Because Left Lion gets all the attention. In Market Square there are pubs, shops and cafes And a great big bell called Little John. When it chimes then it’s time to take a walk outside And all of your troubles will be gone. Down, down. Take me down. Down to Market Square. Slap bang in the middle of the town. Please take me there Morning, noon and evening time, I just don’t care. Take me down, down, down to Market Square. In market square there's a long black fountain Which the children and the pigeons like to splash in. Down by the Lions, the Gothic teens hug each other, All dressed up in the latest Void fashions. (In Market Square we’ve got summer in the sunshine. Lots of sand and a pool that we can splash in. A great big wheel and music all around us We’re having fun like it’s going out of fashion) At Christmas time, there's a big German market With the sweet smell of bratwurst in the air. After a beer, we'll all be here to welcome in New Year And say 'Hello' to New Old Market Square, So take me down, down, down to Market Square. Oh, take me down......said take me down......to Market Square

about

Written in a collaboration between Johnny Raindrop and some of the children from Haydn School in Sherwood, Nottingham. There were about seven weeks of workshops during which Johnny and the children discussed ideas and came up with words and themes. Some children came with complete lyrics and songs. The finished songs were then recorded with the Raindrops band in PaperStone Studios, right next to Haydn School in Sherwood, and later played with a large group of children at the Sherwood Festival that summer.
